Kat Dennings, whose real name is Katherine Litwack, began her career in the entertainment industry as a child model for a potato chip advertisement. In 2000, Kat Dennings landed a one-episode role in the hit HBO series “Sex and the City,” a small yet memorable role in the episode “Hot Child in the City.” The following year, Kat Dennings landed a regular role in the TV series “Raising Dad,” where she appeared until 2002. When Kat moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career full time, she then appeared on various TV shows, such as “Less Than Perfect” and “Without a Trace.”
In 2004, Kat Dennings had a minor role in the teen flick “Raise Your Voice” alongside Hilary Duff. After appearing in the indie film “Down in the Valley” with Evan Rachel Wood and Ed Norton, Kat Dennings landed her breakthrough role as the rebellious daughter of Catherine Keener’s character and worked alongside Steve Carrel in the comedy movie “The 40-Year-Old Virgin.” During this time, Kat Dennings also appeared on various TV shows, including several episodes for “ER” and a one-off guest role in “CSI: NY.”

In 2009, Kat Dennings played the role of Dahlia in the Jeff Daniels movie “The Answer Man.” That same year, she appeared in the Robert Rodriguez film “Shorts” with the role of Stacey Thompson. Other movie credits of Kat Dennings for 2010 include the superhero flick “Defendor,” the romantic comedy “Liars (A-E)” and the movie adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel “End Zone.”
